The work of Girls Inc. of Limestone, Algonquin and Lakeshore takes place on the traditional unceded territories of the Indigenous nations who have lived on these lands from the beginning. In particular, we acknowledge the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Huron-Wendat, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Let us listen to and learn from the Indigenous caretakers of this land about the sacred relationships and responsibilities we have to each other and to these lands that give us what we need to live a healthy life.
