What We Do
Girls Inc. Limestone provides programs that help participants overcome and avoid adversity, access education, and prepare for financial self-sufficiency.
THE GIRLS INC. DIFFERENCE
Girls Inc. Limestone delivers life-changing programs and empowering experiences that help participants navigate gender, economic, and social barriers while ensuring opportunities are accessible to all. Through ongoing community advocacy and the Girls Inc. Experience, participants are empowered to reach their full potential. All programs are FREE for all participants to ensure equitable access for everyone.
THE GIRLS ED PROGRAM

GIRLS ED serves school-aged girls and young women who are pursuing or have begun post-secondary education. Our comprehensive programming is delivered through After-School Programs, In-School Groups for Girls, March Break Camp, Winter Break Camp, Summer Camp, and group mentoring programs such as the Teen Advocacy Council and Project Accelerate. We also host a Girls Summit – an empowering annual day conference for participants. Participation in the Girls Inc. Experience equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to overcome and avoid adversity, stay safe, pursue education and career goals, and build a strong plan for the future.

Girls Inc. was the first program my daughter attended where she felt included and seen as an individual with strengths, as opposed to a child with high needs.

INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY SUPPORT

At Girls Inc. Limestone, our ability to provide holistic support is essential to ensuring that the issues, barriers, and trauma experienced by girls, women, and families in our community do not go unaddressed.
We provide tailored individual support, warm referrals, advocacy, and connections to trusted community resources to help address immediate needs while building long-term stability and support networks. When funding is available, we also provide critical emergency financial assistance.
Support may include assistance with college selection and applications, résumé development, navigating economic crisis, communication and relationship challenges, and accessing gender-based violence supports.
We also continuously pursue funding opportunities to deliver special projects and enhanced programming that expand opportunities, reduce barriers, and improve the quality of life for our service demographic in KFL&A and H&PE.
