Outcomes

At Girls Inc. Limestone, we know that measuring outcomes is essential to ensuring we provide girls with the right support and opportunities they need to thrive.

Why Girls Inc. Programming Matters

The Status of Girls and Women in Canada

Understanding the realities, barriers, and lived experiences of girls is essential to creating meaningful and effective outcomes. When programs are informed by current data, community needs, and participant voice, supports can be tailored to address the real challenges girls face. This leads to stronger engagement, more relevant programming, and better long-term outcomes for participants, families, and communities.

While we are very busy providing interventions for youth experiencing adversity, we are also focused on providing STRONG, SMART AND BOLD programs for school-aged participants to improve their outcomes and avoid the level of adversity being experienced by our youth participants, as illustrated below.

Powerful Outcomes

To ensure our programs are meeting participant needs and goals, we maintain a robust outcome measurement system. This includes the completion and review of participant pre- and post-program surveys, candid conversations with participants about their progress, and ongoing leader observation and follow-up. We also gather feedback from parents, community partners, and employment partners through direct communication and program result surveys. In addition, we participate in Girls Inc.’s annual Strong, Smart, and Bold Outcome Survey (SSBOS).
